“Good food brings people together.” The highest quality ingredients, most locally-sourced, are carefully blended together to yield superb and traditional meats.
“If it says “Bona”, it has to be good!”
From humble beginnings back in 1966, the ‘Bona’ brand of fine Italian meats has endured the test of time. Co-founder, Alfredo Arnone and his partners entered into the meat processing business with a small federal plant on Toryork Drive. The plant was expanded to double its size in 1970 as the business grew and flourished with sales across Canada. When Alfredo passed away in 2009, his son, Rino Arnone, active in Bona’s administration since 1999 carried on the family business. In 2011, the Arnone family bought out the other business partners, and refurbished much of the Bona facility. In 2012, the Arnone family merged Bona Foods’ operations with that of Rea Foods under the new corporate entity of Marini Foods Ltd.
