DELIVERY

Bona Foods provides local delivery service Monday through Friday every week (except for holidays). On a typical day, our trucks are loaded and on the road by 9:30 am.

All of our drivers have a minimum of 5 years experience. They are bonded and are authorized to accept payment for orders in the form of cash or cheque only.

Note: While our drivers will attempt to accommodate RUSH orders and/or special delivery instructions on a best effort basis, Bona Foods cannot guarantee delivery times and will not be held responsible for late deliveries.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I CALL IN AN ORDER TO BONA FOODS?

  1. When an order is placed with the Bona Foods office, the requested quantities of each specific product are noted on an orderform along with any special instructions – including specific packaging, delivery times, or alternative delivery addresses.
  2. The orderform is then sent to our shipping department where order pickers assemble the order and weigh each type of product before it is boxed. The duration of the picking and weighing process will vary depending on the quantity and availability of the products requested.
  3. Once the weights for the entire order are recorded, the orderform is returned to the office to be invoiced. An exact total for the order is available once it has been invoiced.

Our main office is open and able to receive telephone orders from 8am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.

When placing an order it is helpful to have your customer number ready. If you are unsure of the names of any of the products being ordered, feel free to quote the product codes or ask the order taker for assistance. Our order takers are able to assist with most questions about our products.

In case you are calling after hours or during a busy call period, orders can be left on our general voice mailbox. These messages are checked every morning. However, please leave a very detailed message regarding your order

With each order left on voice mail please clearly indicate the following:

  1. Your establishment name and address
  2. Quantities and full names of products required.
    (NOTE: Please specify the quantity unit – whether it be pieces, packages, kgs, or lbs)
  3. Special delivery instructions (if necessary)
  4. Contact name and telephone number (to be reached between 8am-4pm)

We request that our customers place their orders at least one day prior to requested delivery date (ie. do not expect same day delivery). For most customers within the GTA, delivery is usually the next day after placing an order. See our current delivery schedule for more details.

NOTE: After-hours faxed orders will not be processed till the following business day (Mon-Fri).

On each faxed order please clearly indicate the following:

  1. Your establishment name and address
  2. Quantities and full names of products required – use product codes for accuracy
    (NOTE: Please specify the quantity unit – whether it be pieces, packages, kgs, or lbs)
  3. Special delivery instructions (if necessary)
  4. Contact name and telephone number (to be reached between 8am-4pm)

SALES REPRESENTATIVE

If your establishment has an assigned sales representative, you should receive regular sales visits and calls. All orders should be placed through your sales representative who will be familiar with your particular needs. As well, your representative can be instructed to observe vacancies in your store’s self-serve bins and place orders for what is necessary on your behalf.

Once your sales representative has your order, he/she can then relay those orders to the office or factory in batches to save time.

Our sales team is very knowledgeable about the products that Bona Foods carries and can usually answer most questions with ease. They can help determine which products best suit your needs.

Emergency orders can be called directly into the office if necessary.
